After a month and a half-long national search, its a pleasure to announce the hiring of our new Head Golf Professional, Alex Aulerich.Through the PGA of America, the Search Committee received 47 applicants applying to be the Country Club of Waterbury’s next Head Golf Professional. The Committee received applications from across the US and, several International applications from Australia and Canada. After a rigorous vetting, screening and interview process, Alex Aulerich emerged as the clear front-runner to succeed Brad Lusenhop as our Club’s next Head Golf Professional. Alex comes to our Club after spending the last five years at Oakmont Country Club, most recently as the Senior Assistant Golf Professional. Alex's experience, training and commitment will continue to elevate our membership experience. Alex and his girlfriend Rachel are in the process of relocating to Connecticut from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Rachel is a practicing Trauma Nurse.
I'd like to send my sincerest gratitude to our Search Committee - Tara Caulfield, Mike Martone, Russ Stutsky and Peter Heintz. The Search Committee worked tirelessly over the last month and a half and I am extremely appreciative and proud of the Committee's efforts. On behalf of the Search Committee, we are proud to announce Alex’s hiring and welcome Alex and Rachel to The Country Club of Waterbury. Please join me in welcoming Alex as our next Head Golf Professional. Alex will be on the property starting his employment in mid-January.
