Ionut “Johnny” Hurduc
Director of Tennis
We are pleased to announce that Ionut “Johnny” Hurduc is back as CCW’s Director of Tennis. Mr. Hurduc is a former NCAA Division I player with 15 years of experience conducting both adult and junior tennis programs. He has led programs throughout Fairfield County and in New York. Johnny has also coached and sparred with several top players on the WTA tour. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Marketing from South Carolina State University where he was the #1 player on the tennis team. Mr. Hurduc grew up in Romania where he was a Top 5 Junior and the National Champion in doubles. He continued winning titles in the US --- #3 singles player in New England, as well as winning the Connecticut Open Championship in 2017. In addition to tennis, Johnny is also passionate about platform (paddle) tennis and running programs in this popular fast-growing sport.
Mr. Hurduc is excited to build the CCW tennis program. He will be on board April through September. Johnny is looking forward to helping women, men and juniors advance their skills. He will be taking a fresh look at the clinic and event offerings in an effort to get more players out on the courts and build excitement.
